Let ellipse $\frac{x^2}{a^2}+\frac{y^2}{b^2}=1$

So we have $A\left(-ae,0\right), B\left(ae,0\right) \& T\left(0,b\right)$

Now, slope of $AT=\frac{b}{ae}$ and slope of $BT=\frac{b}{-ae}$ 

Given, $AT\perp BT$

So, $\frac{b}{ae}.\frac{b}{-ae}=-1$

$\Rightarrow \frac{b^2}{a^2}=e^2 ...\left(\mathrm{i}\right)$

Eccentricity of ellipse $e^2=1-\frac{b^2}{a^2}$

Using Equation $\left(\mathrm{i}\right)$

$e^2=1-e^2$

$\Rightarrow 2e^2=1$

$\Rightarrow e=\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}$
