\(\mathrm{H}_2\) and \(\mathrm{O}_2\) react according to the equation
Therefore, 2 volumes of \(\mathrm{H}_2\) react with 1 volume of \(\mathrm{O}_2\) to produce 2 volumes of water. Hence, 10 volumes of \(\mathrm{H}_2\) will react completely with 5 volumes of \(\mathrm{O}_2\) to produce 10 volumes of water vapour.
