The correct answer is: 3.2

The curves are y=-x2+8x=-xx-8 and y=12
The intersection points are A and B where
-x2+8x=12x2-8x+12=0
x-2x-6=0
x=2,6
i.e. A2,12 and B(6,12)
Thus, the required area is
A=26-x2+8x-12dx
=-x3326+4x226-12x26
=-216-83+436-4-126-2
=-2083+128-48=80-2083=323 sq. units
