The potential energy of electron in hydrogen atom is given by
$$
\mathrm{U}=-\frac{1}{4 \pi \varepsilon_0} \cdot \frac{\mathrm{e}^2}{\mathrm{r}}
$$
Hence as $r$ increase, potential energy will increase. (It will become less negative)
$$
