Concentration of calcium lactate = 0.005 M

concentration of lactate ion = = (2 × 0.005) M

Calcium lactate is a salt of weak acid + strong base

 Salt hydrolysis will take place for a basic salt:

pH=7+12pKa+12logC=7+12×5+12log(0.01)=85 × 10-1
