As we know, wavelength of the light emitted during transition is given by,

Frequency can be written as,

ν=cR1n12-1n22

Now, for Balmer series2 to ,

νB=cR122-12   ....Eq1

For Brackett series we can write4 to ,

ν'=cR142-12   ....Eq2

From equation 2 and equation 1, we get

ν'νB=14ν'=νB4
