The correct answer is: 48 and 15
Grafting is an artificial propagation technique where two different plants are grafted together. One plants rooted stock is joined with the non-rooted stem of the other plant(scion). The cambium content must be compatible in this process to get a successful graft. The two parts of plant grow and develop completely without any mixing or hybridization.

The stock part having 48 chromosomes will show 48 chromosomes in the root cell. The scion will develop flower and gametic cells which will have half the genetic content. Since, scion part has 30 chromosomes, the egg cell will have 15 chromosomes in it.
