The correct answer is: The number of electrons in conduction band increases
In the case of semiconductors, resistivity is inversely proportional to the temperature. In this case as temperature increases, electrons jump to conduction band resistance decreases. So resistivity also decreases and current increases. The vibration of electrons increases with rising in temperature and hence collision between ions and electrons increases with temperature. So the number of electrons in the conduction band increases.
