The correct answer is: 2

Adding both the given equations, we get,

2x=3+4sin2θ-cos4θ
=3+4sin2θ-1-2sin22θ
=2sin22θ+4sin2θ+2
x=sin22θ+2sin2θ+1
x=sin2θ+12
Similarly, 2y=3-cos4θ-4sin2θ
2y=3-4sin2θ-1-2sin22θ
=2sin22θ-4sin2θ+2
y=sin22θ-2sin2θ+1
y=sin2θ-12
x=sin2θ+1=1+sin2θ
y=sin2θ-1=1-sin2θ
x+y=2
