The correct answer is:
$\frac{-1}{2}$
$\begin{aligned} & y=\tan ^{-1} \sqrt{\frac{1+\cos x}{1-x \cos x}}=\tan ^{-1} \sqrt{\frac{2 \cos ^2 \frac{x}{2}}{2 \sin ^2 \frac{x}{2}}}=\tan ^{-1}\left(\cot \frac{x}{2}\right) \\ & \Rightarrow y=\tan ^{-1} \tan \left(\frac{\pi}{2}-\frac{x}{2}\right)=\frac{\pi}{2}-\frac{x}{2}\end{aligned}$
Differentiating
$\frac{\mathrm{dy}}{\mathrm{dx}}=0-\frac{1}{2}=\frac{-1}{2}$
