The correct answer is: 3

Given: z+1=αz+β1+i, z=12-2i

12-2i+1=α12-2i+β1+i

32-2i=α2-2αi+β+βi

94+4=α2+β+i-2α+β

Now, on comparing real and imaginary part we get,

52=α2+β+i-2α+β

2α=β, 52=α2+β

2α=β, 52=5α2

α=1, β=2

α+β=3
