From meter bridge principle
$$
\begin{aligned}
& \frac{X}{R}=\frac{l_1}{100-l_1} \\
& \frac{3}{3}=\frac{l_1}{100-l_1} \Rightarrow 300-31_1=31_1 \\
& 30 \mathrm{i}=6 l_1 \Rightarrow 1_1=\frac{300}{6}=50 \mathrm{~cm}
