The correct answer is: 9 ×107
From Einstein's mass energy relation the energy released is

E = mc2

where m is mass and c is speed is light.

Given

Δ m = 1mg = 1 × 1 0 - 6 kg, c = 3 × 1 0 8 m / s

  E = 1 × 10-6 × 3 × 1082

E = 9×1010 J

The rate at which energy is dissipated is known as power, ie,

 P= Et  =9 ×10101=9×1010W

Since,   103 W = 1k W

  P= 9 × 107 kW
