The correct answer is: 1 : 3
Individual with genotype Aa will produce two types of gametes in the ratio 1 : 1 (A : a) and the individual with genotype AA will produce only one type of gamete with A. Thus the proportion of alleles a and A in their gametes is 1 : 3.
Therefore,
allele A = (half of Aa + AA) = 250 + 500 = 750
allele a = half of Aa = 250
thus, a:A = 250:750 = 1:3
