Consider a cell of emf E and balancing length l1

E=kl1

The potential difference is balanced by length l2 .

V=kl2

The internal resistance of the cell is given by

r=E-VVR=EV-1R=l1l2-1R

=560560-60-110=5650-110

=65=1.2 Ω
