In an adiabatic process, $\Delta U=-W$

According to the first law of thermodynamics,
$\Delta \mathrm{Q}=\Delta \mathrm{U}+\Delta \mathrm{W}$
In adiabatic process $\Delta \mathrm{Q}=0$
So, $\Delta \mathrm{U}=-\Delta \mathrm{W}$
According to the first law of thermodynamics,
$\Delta \mathrm{Q}=\Delta \mathrm{U}+\Delta \mathrm{W}$
