Formation of megaspore is called megasporogenesis and megaspore germinates to form female gametophyte i.e. embryo sac. Embryo sac has egg that participates in fertilization and secondary nucleus of embryo sac leads to formation of PEN after double fertilization. Thus endosperm formation is followed by embryo formation.
