In kidneys, with regard to their location, there are two types of nephrons are present and they are cortical and juxtamedullary nephrons. The cortical nephrons share the maximum percentage of about 80% to 85% of the total nephron. These nephrons are present in the renal cortex with very short loops of Henle that extend only little into the medulla.
