The biodiversity exists at many levels: genetic, species and ecosystem. Genetic diversity explains the type of chromosomes and genes present in different species and the variation seen in the same species. Species diversity is different numbers of species seen at a particular place. The number of species per unit area is known as species richness. Ecosystem diversity is variations in the different ecosystem at an area and its impact on humans. Thus diversity is seen at all hierarchy levels.
