During photosynthesis one Calvin cycle takes in only one carbon (as CO2) at a time so, it takes six turns of the cycle to produce six-carbon compound (glucose). For the formation of one molecule of hexose sugar (glucose) 18 ATP and 12 are used, whereas 30 ATP and 12 are used during the C4 cycle.
