Angiotensin II is an octa-peptide chemical and is one of the most potent vaso-constrictors which increases blood pressure and thus GFR by constricting the arterioles. It also stimulates the adrenal cortex to release aldosterone hormone. This aldosterone causes reabsorption of NaCl and water from renal tubule of the nephron.
