$50 \mathrm{~V}$
The ac voltage across the LCR is given by:
$V_{r m s}=\sqrt{V_R^2+\left(V_L-V_C\right)^2}=\sqrt{40^2+(50-20)^2}=50 \mathrm{~V}$
$V_{r m s}=\sqrt{V_R^2+\left(V_L-V_C\right)^2}=\sqrt{40^2+(50-20)^2}=50 \mathrm{~V}$
