Erythrocyte count is about 5 million per cubic mm of blood. Platelet count is about 2.5–4.5 lakhs per cubic mm. Leucocytes are 5–9 thousand per cubic mm. Neutrophils consist of 54%–62% of leucocytes, lymphocytes consist of 25%–33% of leucocytes, monocytes consist of 3%–9% of leucocytes, eosinophils consist of 3% of leucocytes and basophils consist of 0.5% of leucocytes.
