The correct answer is: 3.86×105 Ω
VCC=VC+ICRL
20=5+3×103IC
IC=153×103
=5×10-3 A=5 mA ,
β=ICIB
IB=ICβ=5×10-3100
=5×10-5 A
VCC=IBRB+P.D. across input junction
As silicon transistor is in forward bias, the P.D. across input junction is 0.7 volt.
20=5×10-5RB+0.7
RB=19.35×10-5
RB=3.86×10Ω
