Bile and Pancreatic juice open into the duodenum through the hepatopancreatic duct. This duct is formed by fusion of common bile duct and duct of Wirsung (functional duct of pancreas). Common bile duct contains concentrated and dilute bile from gall bladder and liver and thus it is the fusion of cystic duct (duct of gall bladder) and hepatic duct (duct of liver). Hepatic duct in turn is formed by fusion of ducts from right and left hepatic lobes.
