The conditions for interference are as follows: Source mustbe coherent, that is, they should have same wavelength and
constant phase difference. The light must be monochromatic.
Thus, if a white light used as source and one slit is covered with red filter and other with blue filter then red light and blue
light will interfere but the conditions of interference are not satisfied so there will be no interference.
