For maxima, Δ x = d sin θ = n λ ∴ sin θ = n λ d = n × 2 0 0 0 7 0 0 0 Since sin θ cannot be greater than 1 . Hence, n = 0 , 1 , 2 , 3 only ∴ 3 maxima on both side of screen and 1 central maxima will be obtained. ∴ Total maxima = 7
