The correct answer is: are in the direction from \( \mathrm{S} \) pole to \( \mathrm{N} \) pole

The magnetic lines form a closed loop outside the magnet, these lines are from N-pole to S-pole and inside the magnet, they reverse i.e. form S-pole to N-pole. Magnetic field lines are a visual tool used to represent magnetic fields. They describe the direction of the magnetic force on a north monopole at any given position. Because monopoles are not found to exist in nature, we also discuss alternate means to describe the field lines.
