Auxin and ethylene
The gibberellins, cytokinins and auxins are found to be growth stimulators, whereas ethylene and abscisic acid are determined as growth inhibitors. The function of cytokinin is the stimulation of cell division, growth of lateral buds and apical dominance. Functions of gibberellins are to stimulate stem elongation. Auxin and ethylene are responsible for the flowering and fruiting in pineapple.
