The correct answer is: K1<K2/2
K 1 = hc λ 1 - W                     ....(i)

and K 2 = hc λ 2 - W           ....(ii)

Substituting   λ 1 = 2 λ 2  in Eq. (i), we get

K 1 = hc 2 λ 2 - W

= 1 2 hc λ 2 - W = 1 2 K 2 + W - W

∴    K 1 = K 2 2 - W 2    or K 1 < K 2 2
