2KMnO4+5H2C2O4+3H2SO42MnSO4+10CO2+8H2O+K2SO4

According to the above balanced equation, 2 moles of potassium permanganate produces the 10 moles of carbon dioxide. The number of CO2 molecules produced per mole of KMnO4 is 5.
