The correct answer is: 9

Given: A1,2, B4,-4, C2,22 be points on the parabola y2=4x·α and β, respectively represent the area of ΔABC and the area of the triangle formed by the tangents at A, B, C to the above parabola

Area of ABC=121214-412221=32

So α=32

We know that the area of the triangle formed by three points on a parabola is twice the area of the triangle formed by the tangents at these points

α=2β

So β=322

αβ=9
