Now given A=-1

So, ad-bc=-1

Now A+IadjA+I=4

AadjA+adjA+A+I=4

AI+adjA+A+I=4

-I+adjA+A+I=4

adjA+A=4

a+d00a+d=4

a+d2=4 

So, a+d=2 or -2
