The correct answer is: 221

Given,

a=i^-j^+2k^ , a×b=2i^-k^ and a·b=3

Now using the formula a×b2+a·b2=a2·b2sin2θ+a2·b2cos2θ

a×b2+a·b2=a2·b2sin2θ+cos2θ=a2·b2

We get,

2i^-k^2+32=i^-j^+2k^2b2

b2=5+96=146=73

Now finding a-b=a2+b2-2ab=6+73-6=73

Now projection of b on a-b=b·a-ba-b

=b·a-b2a-b=3-7373

=221
