The correct answer is: 4

Given fx=ax2+bx+c be such that f1=3, f-2=λ and f3=4. If f0+f1+f-2+f3=14, then λ is equal to

Now given f0+f1+f-2+f3=14

f0+3+λ+4=14

f0=7-λ=c

Now f1=a+b+c=3    ...i

f3=9a+3b+c=4      ...ii

f-2=4a-2b+c=λ      ...iii

Now subtracting equation ii-iii

We get, a+b=4-λ5, now putting  in equation i

We get, 4-λ5+7-λ=3

6λ=24

λ=4
