The correct answer is: 43

By using the formula of mean we get, =xi50=15xi=750

Now variance=xi250-152=22xi2=11450

xinew=50×16=800

So, xinew-xi=800-750=50

Hence, if wrong observation was x then corrected one is x+50.
x+x+50=70x=10

Therefore, the correct observation =60.

Now, xi2new=11450-102+602=14950

Therefore, variance of the correct set =1495050-162=299-256=43.
