The correct answer is: 8 units

Length of tangents from a point   ( x 1 , y 1 )  to a circle   x 2 + y 2 +2gx+2fy+c=0  is given by
x 1 2 + y 1 2 +2g x 1 +2f y 1 +c
The equation of the circle is, x 2 + y 2 4x2y11=0
∴   its centre is ( 2,1 ) ,
and radius = 4+1+11 =4=BC

Length of the tangent from the point  A(4, 5) is
= 16+25161011 = 4 =2=AB
Area of quadrilateral ABCD is

=2(Area ΔABC)=2×12AB×BC

=2×12×2×4=8 square units
