The correct answer is: 8

The molecular mass of methane  is 16 g/mol.

The reaction is as follows,

CH4+2O2CO2+2H2O

Moles of CO2=massmolar mass=2244=0.5

So, required moles of CH4=0.5

 Mass of CH4 =0.5×16           =8 gm
