The correct answer is: A-IV, B-III, C-I, D-II

(A) Rubber is a natural polymer and possesses elastic properties. It is also termed as elastomeric polymer. Neoprene is a family of synthetic rubbers that are produced by the polymerization of chloroprene. So, the correct matching of elastomeric polymer is neoprene.

(B) Polyesters are the polycondensation products of dicarboxylic acids and diols. Dacron or terylene is the best-known example of polyester. Dacron fibre is crease-resistant and is used in blending with cotton and wool fibres and also as glass reinforcing materials in safety helmets, etc. So, the correct matching of fibre polymer is polyester.

(C) Thermosetting polymer which cannot be reused or remoulded. Urea formaldehyde resin and phenol-formaldehyde resins are the thermosetting polymers.

(D) Thermoplastics can soften upon heating and return to their original form on cooling. They are easily moulded and extruded into films, fibres and packaging. Polystyrene is an example of a thermoplastic polymer.

So the correct matching is A-IV, B-III, C-I, D-II.
