Meristem are actively dividing cells present at root apex and shoot apex. Parenchyma are living photosynthetic tissue which also carries out storage of food. Collenchyma are living mechanical tissue. Sclerenchyma consists of elongated cells called as fibers and small round cells called as sclereids. Epidermal cells are modified to form stomata for transpiration.
