Dinosaurs went extinct about 65 million years ago (at the end of the Cretaceous Period), after living on Earth for about 165 million years. The Mesozoic Era has three periods, the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous. The first period is Triassic where the first dinosaur got originated around 225 MYA, the Jurassic period had a giant dinosaur and was present around 175 MYA and the last period is Cretaceous where the zenith of the dinosaur was observed around 125MYA and got extinct at around 65MYA.
