The correct answer is: SiH bond energy is much lower than CH bond energy
SiH bond energy is 393 kJ/mol

Whereas, CH bond energy is 435 kJ/mol

DCC  340 kJ/mol & DSiSi368 kJ/mol

CC and SiSi bond energies are comparable, while SiH bond energy is lower than CH bond energy, so methane is quite stable, whereas silane is unstable.
