Microvilli increases absorptive surface area. Typhlosolar region in earthworm is the middle region of the intestine which runs from $27^{\text {th }}$ segment upto 23-25 segments infront of the anus. In this region mid-dorsal wall of the intestine is thrown into a longitudinal fold which is known as typhlosole. The typhlosole increases the absorptive surface of the intestine.
