The correct answer is: 43

Given lines are

x-12=y+8-7=z-45 and

x-12=y-21=z-6-3

Corresponding vectors are:

a=i^-8j^+4k^p=2i^-7j^+5k^

b=i^+2j^+6k^q=2i^+j^-3k^

S.D.=|a-b   p    q ||p×q|

a-b=-10j^-2k^

[a-b   p    q]=0-10-22-7521-3

=0-(-10)(-6-10)+(-2)(2+14)

=0-160-32=-192

|[a-b   p    q]|=192

p×q=i^j^k^2-7521-3

=i^16-j^-16+k^16

=16i^+j^+k^

|p×q|=163

S.D.=|a-b   p    q ||p×q|=192163=123=43
