According to law of photoelectric effect,  $\frac{1}{2}{\mathrm{mv}}^2=\mathrm{h\nu }-{\mathrm{h\nu }}_0$ i.e., the maximum kinetic energy of electrons emitted in the photoelectric effect is linearly dependent on the frequency of incident radiation.
