The correct answer is:
143
The atomic mass or mass number of an atom ${ }_{Z} X^{A}$ is given by
$$
A=Z+N
$$
where, $A=$ mass number, $Z=$ atomic number
and $N=$ number of neutrons.
For, ${ }_{92} \mathrm{U}^{235}, A=235$ and $\mathrm{Z}=92$
$$
N=A-Z=235-92=143
$$
$$
A=Z+N
$$
where, $A=$ mass number, $Z=$ atomic number
and $N=$ number of neutrons.
For, ${ }_{92} \mathrm{U}^{235}, A=235$ and $\mathrm{Z}=92$
$$
N=A-Z=235-92=143
$$
