Number of spherical/radial nodes in any orbital
$$
=n-I-1
$$
For $s=$ orbitals, $I=0$.
$\therefore$ Number of radial nodes in 3s-orbital
$$
=3-0-1=2
$$
For $p$ - orbitals, $I=1$
$\therefore \quad$ Number of radial nodes in $2 p$-orbitals
$$
=2-1-1=0
$$
