The correct answer is: x2+y2=13

Given:

4x2+9y2=36

x29+y24=1

Comparing with the standard form x2a2+y2b2=1, we get

a2=9 & b2=4

Now, we know that the locus of two perpendicular tangents drawn to the ellipse is the director circle of the ellipse.

Now, equation of the director circle to the ellipse x2a2+y2b2=1 is given by x2+y2=a2+b2.

Therefore, required curve is 

x2+y2=9+4

orx2+y2=13.
