Radius of 2nd orbit of B4+ ion is given as,

r=0.529 n2Z A°

Where, n = Number of shells and Z=Atomic number

This formula is only applicable for hydrogen and hydrogen like species i.e., species containing a single electron.

For B4+n=2, Z=5

r=0.529225=0.529×45=0.4232 A°
