The correct answer is:
$\frac{-1}{5}$
\mathrm{KCl} x & =-1 & \mathrm{KClO}_{3}
potassium chloride $+1+x-6=0$
$$
x=+5
$$
potassium chlorate.
$\therefore$ Ratio of oxidation state of $\mathrm{Cl}=\frac{-1}{5}$
potassium chloride $+1+x-6=0$
$$
x=+5
$$
potassium chlorate.
$\therefore$ Ratio of oxidation state of $\mathrm{Cl}=\frac{-1}{5}$
